This is a machined thread protector 3/4″ extra long, with a fluted 5/8″ OD. It fits Barrels and Adapters Using 1/2″-28 Threads Per Inch. This is considered an EXTRA Long Thread Protector, as most 1/2-28 threads are .500″ long. Don’t run the risk of damaging the threads when muzzle accessories are not being used. Please measure the length of the thread on your barrel or adapter to be sure that 3/4″ EXTRA LONG will cover your thread. Protective Cap is 4140 Steel with a Black Oxide Finish. Approximate Dimensions .625″ O.D. X .750″ OAL.

On my first review of this product, I noted that 2 of the 3 that I received did not thread onto the barrel until I had chased the threads with a bolt. A couple of days after writing that review, I was personally contacted by Mr. Bob Hughes apologizing for the issues, explaining what they had found and that he sent me three new ones free of charge.. Folks that is customer service. A great company.
