FAQ: Is Your Order "On Hold"?
To prevent fraudulent orders, Hughes Precision implements anti-fraud measures that check various aspects of each order for indicators of illegitimate activity. Of these, if you are a first-time customer it is very likely that your order has been flagged as potential fraud and is “On Hold”. We review each of these “On Hold” orders individually and if we’re satisfied that they’re legitimate they are allowed to go through the remainder of the order processing flow.
Please don’t be offended if your order is put “On Hold”. Here at Hughes Precision, we’d much rather assume everyone was honest from the beginning but our website has been the target of numerous fraud attempts in the past. At one point, our payment processor put a stop to all payment processing until we implemented measures to identify potentially fraudulent orders before they were sent for payment processing. Obviously, not being able to process payment for our online orders is not good for business.
If your order remains “On Hold” for an extended period, please contact us.
